Banned or Restricted Carriers

European Community's list of banned or restricted airlines

In January 2006 the European Parliament established a list of airlines that are banned from flying within the European Community. Airports are required to bring this list to the attention of passengers.
In March 2006 the European Commission published an initial list of airlines considered to be unsafe and which are therefore not permitted to fly passengers or cargo within the European Community. This list will be updated at least every 3 months.
