Fritidsresor (TUI Nordic), Sweden´s largest tour operator, increase their program with four destinations from Stockholm Skavsta Airport summer 2006.

Majorca, Crete, Bulgaria and Turkey are the destinations. Free parking, special in-check for families and no flight surcharge are some of the benefits of the mutual accomplishment.

The director of TUI Nordic in Sweden, Christian Clemens, points out that Skavsta is an important regional venture and a further widening of their program. After the main airports, Skavsta will become the fourth largest airport for the company, which will also open a new travel shop in the region.

- A family with two children will save up to SEK 2500 by choosing Skavsta, says Christian Clemens.

- With our 12,000 passengers within the summer program, we will save six million SEK for the people in the region of Mälardalen.

Together with the new travel shop, the Skavsta operation -means an investment for TUI Nordic of SEK 25 million.

  • Crete Thursdays 25/5-12/10 (EuroCypria)
  • Majorca, Fridays 26/5-13/10 (Air Europa)
  • Antalya Turkey, Saturdays 20/5-14/10 (Sun Expressen)

Stockholm Skavsta Airport is today the third largest airport in Sweden in passenger traffic and air cargo. There are now 15 destinations operated from the airport. 2005 the number of passengers is calculated to approximately 1.7 million travellers. Stockholm Skavsta Airport - the only Swedish airport put under private ownership, is situated one hour by car south of Stockholm. Summer 1998 the airport was acquired by the English airport company TBI, which owns airports in Cardiff, Belfast, Luton and Sanford Orlando for example.
