The Swedish Coast Guard's new aircraft has landed!

Thursday 8 May the first of the Coast Guard´s new aircraft landed at Stockholm Skavsta Airport.
The only flight division of the Swedish Coast Guard is based at Stockholm Skavsta Airport. Last Thursday a big delegation was present to welcome the first of the three new aircraft, KBV 501. The other two aircraft will be delivered in June.
The three new surveillance aircraft are of Dash 8-Q300 model and are manufactured in Toronto, Canada. This is one of the most modern aircraft for sea surveillance, that will replace the two prior aircraft, of model CASA 212. The new aircraft is flown by a Swedish crew from Canada via Greenland, Iceland and Norway.
