January's passenger figures
Published: 03 February 2011
142,627 passengers travelled through Stockholm Skavsta Airport the first month of this year.
The numbers are lower than the same month 2010. The flight capacity in January was -20.8% compared to January last year, but the load factor has increased, the acutal decrease in the passenger numbers landed on 17.2%.
February started very positively with the announcement of three new Ryanair destinations in the coming summer timetable: Thessaloniki and Rhodes in Greece and Rijeka in Croatia.
- This is fantastic as many have asked for these destinations, says Dot Gade Kulovuori, Managing Director at Stockholm Skavsta Airport. Greece has been on many people’s wish list for a long time.
- We are also very happy that the route offer from Skavsta is bigger than last year. Previously, Wizz Air has announced two new destinations: Vilnius and Belgrade. This increase grows the total amount of Wizz Air destinations from five to nine compared to last year summer timetable, Dot continues.
