Opening of the new road to the airport

Friday 23 September, the new road to Stockholm Skavsta Airport opens.

The new road (route 629) is a joint project between the Transport Agency (Trafikverket) and the municipality of Nyköping. Contractor is SIAAB. 

The road is about 1.5 km and has a separate walking and bicycle path. Two new roundabouts have been built, one at the new exit from route 52 and the other in the airport area.

 

The Transport Agency inaugurates the new road on Friday 23 September at 10:00 near the roundabout on the airport area, beside Connect Hotel. The Minister of Infrastructures Catharina Elmsäter-Svärd and the County Governor Bo Könberg are attending the inauguration ceremony.
