Passenger flows increased in August

249 035 passengers travelled to and from the airport during the month of August. This was an increase of 3.5% compared to August 2008.
For the period January - August, the passenger stream decreased by 0.3%. The accumulated minus, however gets smaller by the month, and at present the airport's expectation is that passenger numbers for the full year could increase by 1-3% compared to 2008.
New destinations in the coming winter time table: Oslo (Rygge), Brussels (Charleroi), Memmingen (Munich), London (Gatwick) and the ski destination Turin in Italy.
"We have just learnt that more and more incoming tourist not only find our beautiful town Nyköping, but have it as their destination, says Dot Gade Kulovuori, Managing Director. Finally the tourist organisations and Nyköping starts seeing the result a long-term strategy and work".
