Ryanair to suspend base operations at Skavsta Airport
This week Ryanair advised Stockholm Skavsta Flygplats AB, that, due to unforeseen events outside their control, the company has opted to temporarily close the base at Stockholm Skavsta Airport starting coming summer season, starting 29 March 2020.
The closure of the base is one of the decisions taken from a wider range of measures necessitating from the continued postponement of the recertification and delivery of the B737 MAX aircraft, the aircraft the airline counted on to replace and expand their fleet.
Stockholm Skavsta Airport will continue to be served by Ryanair with aircraft based elsewhere. This will mean, however, a decrease in aircraft movements and destinations served. Details of the revised summer schedule will be available in due time. All news
